He also served with 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines (3/1 Raiders), a unit he takes great pride in. Throughout his service, he developed a strong sense of esprit de corps and leadership. He earned the Good Conduct Medal, reflecting his professionalism and dedication during his time in service.

Beyond his military service, Michael remains actively engaged in his community. He works as a bartender and is known for his commitment to giving back, including organizing and participating in efforts to feed the homeless during the holidays and supporting local community initiatives.

Michael is a dedicated father to his daughter, Alecia, and takes great pride in providing a strong example of service and responsibility both at home and within the community.

As Commander, Michael works alongside his officers to build a strong leadership team and continues to invest countless hours into improving the Post. His focus is on creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where veterans can connect, relax, and access the resources they need without judgment.

Having personally experienced challenges transitioning from military service, including a period of homelessness, Michael is deeply committed to helping fellow veterans in need. His leadership is driven by a desire to ensure that every veteran has access to support, community, and a place they can call their own.
