As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

 Today marks the 109th anniversary of the Marine Corps Reserve, established by President Woodrow Wilson's signing of the Naval Appropriations Act of 1916. This occasion serves as a celebration of the Reserve's inception and its enduring contributions to both active-duty forces and the nation as a whole.

We will be serving Bacon wrapped hotdogs with peppers and onions  $5.00 donation
The post is now open to the public 
 
Friday Night August 29th the kitchen will be closed due to the long weekend the canteen will still be open
