Travis Oakley serves as the Adjutant and House Committee Chairman of Ralph Broiles VFW Post 6563, bringing a lifelong commitment to community involvement and veteran advocacy. He has spent much of his life working alongside community and veteran organizations, focusing on service, accountability, and strengthening local support systems.
A proud United States Marine Corps veteran, Travis served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and received an Honorable Discharge—a distinction he holds in high regard as part of his family’s long-standing tradition of military service. His time in service continues to shape his dedication to supporting fellow veterans.
Travis is a devoted family man, happily married to his wife, Cindy and the father of five children. His commitment to family and community is reflected in his approach to leadership, emphasizing stability, responsibility, and long-term impact.
He is deeply committed to helping veterans in need by connecting them with critical resources and support systems. Through outreach and direct engagement, Travis works to ensure that veterans facing challenges are not navigating them alone.
In his role at Post 6563, Travis works alongside fellow officers and members to support ongoing efforts to restructure operations, improve the facility, and modernize the Post.
